Areca FAQ System - Q10041605 - The ARC-1883ix is hanging on a particular slot when booting the HGST 60 Bay. Removing and reinserting the drive in the particular slot to allow the ARC-8781 boot process to complete.

Q10041605 - The ARC-1883ix is hanging on a particular slot when booting the HGST 60 Bay. Removing and reinserting the drive in the particular slot to allow the ARC-8781 boot process to complete.

It is a bug expander firmware on RAID controller and ARC8018/28 that failed to build 60-bays expander table. Update the firmware to revision date: 2016-05-25 or later to fix this issue.
