Q10190605 - I'm running Linux Debian with a 2.6.17-rc1-mm3 kernel. This has built in support for the Areca card. Linux sees the drives and can install/write to them as normal. My problem is with the CLI and ARCHTTP utilities. When I run cli32 v1.50 I get: Controllers List—None, and when I run the Archttp v1.6 I get: Controller(s) list—None even though the programs reside on the RAID Array! How do I get these utilities to recognize the card?

Answer
The driver version 1.20.00.13 (kernel.org edition) has removed the original method to allow application accessed it. That's the reason why the original cli or archttp can't find the controller. Please download the CLi version1.6.2 and archttp version 1.7.1 from our Ftp for driver version 1.20.00.13. This issues happen on driver version 1.20.00.13 only (kernel.org edition), if you are using standard driver version 1.20.0x.13, the older tools should work without any problem.
