Q10010608 - I recently bought an ARC-1220 RAID controller (brand new) and have it running under CentOS 4.3, x86_64 version. There are eight 500GB drives configured as a single RAID5 volume, for a total usable capacity of 3.5TB (in theory). I compiled and installed the arcmsr drivers (1.20.0X.13) from source, using the out-of-tree, module-only method as described in your "readme.txt" file that is included in the source code. Here is the problem: fdisk will only allow me to create a partition of 1.2TB, not the 3.5TB size that I need.

Q10010611 - I have 8 500GB western digital hard drives configured as a RAID 6 array on the ARC-1220. I set the volume up for 64bit LBA and installed Centos 4.4 x86_64. The installation completes with no errors but when the system restarts, grub does not load linux. There are no error messages, just a flashing cursor. I have double-checked the motherboard BIOS to mske sure that INT19 intercept is allowed. I also made sure initialization of the array was complete. Any idea why GRUB would not load?

Q10010805 - This is a compatibility question pre purchase. I'm going to buy 100 hitachi 0a31619 disks. I wanted to make sure there were no compatibility issues with either the ARC-1130 or ARC-1120 adapters and that the adapters themselves run under fedora core 5.

Q10010806- Is there any advantage to installing the new driver for the ARC-1680i? I.e. is it more stable, better performance, bug fixes etc? Or if we use the one that comes with CentOS5.1, will it be good enough?

Q10020704 - I have got problem to load your driver for xen kernel in openSuse 10.2 -arcmsr.ko. Even when I used the provided script or manually add the driver in all /lib/modules/2.6.18.2-34~/kernel/drivers/scsi/. It doesn't load. When I create a new initrd (mkinitrd) I get these warnings: WARNING: /var/tmp/mkinitramfs.Sm4399/mnt/lib/modules/2.6.18.2-34-xen/kernel/drivers /scsi/arcmsr.ko needs unknown symbol pci_disable_msi
