Dell PowerEdge R730 backplane can work with ARC-1883i/LP. ARC-1883ix needs to update the expander firmware: sas3xfw170105B0.fw or later to work with Dell PowerEdge R730 backplane. Use the follow CLI commands to set parameters,

          CLI> st default

          CLI> sys –z 100C

          Target Port 0x100C
          CLI> st

Power cycle the whole system again.
