Q10031407 - The Ubuntu Pass-thru disks (raw in VMware parlance) are were previously LSI JBOD disks, why is it Areca 1883i sees those, and not the ones that have VMFS on them?

VMware reads information inside HDD and generates a unique ID for each single HDD. Our firmware reads this ID incompletely. So old firmware treated each HDD on RAID are identical (same ID) so only first one can be recognized. New firmware version 1.52 date: 2014-07-21 or later can read ID as long as enough so each HDD can be distinguished.
