Areca RAID controller UEFI BIOS code V1.34 date: 2004-12-10 or later can support bootable from 512 or 4K byte volume. It isn't possible to boot from a 4K volume attached to an Areca RAID controller with the motherboard in legacy mode because interrupt 13 devices are recognized by the M/B BIOS only if they are 512 byte/sector volumes.
