The problem is not older driver but the RHEL has removed kernel build-in driver from their kernel tree. Redhat team has removed a lot of driver source from standard kernel. You must boot system with centos8 and install the 8.1 rpm into the 8.1 kernel to be able to see this card in 8.1. If you upgrade the kernel version from default version, you will need to compile the driver module for the new kernel by yourself.
