Q10041106 - Pull out a drive that was failing. Replace it with a better drive of the same capacity. Hot spare immediately became part of the raid set. New drive immediately became a hot spare. Volume State is listed as 'Need Rebuild', but nothing appears to be happening.

To decrease the risk of data lost, firmware process background tasks is in two conditions only:

1. Stay in controller bios manager console

or

2. In the operating system and the controller driver is loaded.

The array status shows “need rebuild” mean the hot-spare had been successfully added into the array, but the current system status does not meet the requirement.
