Areca RAID controller does not present physical drives to the operating system, only logical drives. The logical drivers (volumes) revision / firmware # from the controller firmware will always assign as "R001" regardless of what the device is connected. For Tape device, please update to version 1.70 or later to get correct firmware version from tape device.
