Q10051107 - I have a FreeBSD dist named FreeNAS with 7.3 kernel and seems that this kind of OS is compatible with ARC-1880 series but the OS can't see the areca raid controller and the Disk.

The ARC-1880 or ARC-1882 is a new product which the original kernel buildin driver does not
support it, so you must use the newest driver package to be able to support this new card.
For FreeBSD, the driver version must be 1.20.00.17 or later
For Linux, the driver version must be 1.20.0X.15 date 20100510 or later
If you use driver older than these versions above, the driver will be not able to recognize the controller and arrays on the controller.
