Q10011303 - With each new firmware, the boot time for the controller has increased. The version before 1.41 would boot in about 12 seconds. 1.41 took about 20-28 seconds. Now version 1.51 takes about 40 seconds. Why is each new version taking longer for the firmware to boot?

The longer boot time should be not caused by firmware change but the hardware difference. As you known, the SAS controller is more complex than SATA controllers, SAS cards take much longer time to initialize it compared with SATA cards. Another difference is the cache size of these cards. Generally, newer cards have bigger cache size which needs longer test time.
